I’m Alex, an illustration major born and raised in Columbus Ohio. My forte is in digital art in which I do character design and concept development. My dream has always been to collaborate and contribute to a team that creates compelling narratives, characters, and visuals that bring video games to life! 

 

My work is influenced by the anime and video games that I grew up with, such as work by Studio Trigger, Studio Ghibli, and Nintendo. I take pride in my art style and how it is something that is completely my own and bursting with my love and passion for creating. Something I like to focus on in my craft is exploring and creating unique approaches to art and narratives that positively impact and touch on underrepresented ideas and identities a majority of media lacks.

 

However, I’m not all just about video games! While they are my passion I also love to illustrate, hand letter, and more recently do some graphic design. In college I was able to experience and enjoy exploring other mediums through making art for major companies such as: The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Cleveland Orchestra, Inside the NBA, and American Greetings. During my time working at Oakland Inside & Out I have been honing more of my graphic design and advertising illustration skills by making signage and promotional material for them.
